ENPRESS PAY TRIBUTE TO MOVIE ICONS OF OUR TIME

SUSAN ROCES, (together with other Movie Icons of our Time Fernando Poe, Jr., Nida Blanca, Ramon Revilla, Jr., Amalia Fuentes, Dolphy, Joseph Estrada, Gloria Romero, Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Soriano and Judy Ann Santos) received a Plaque of Recognition from the Golden Screen Awards as a testament of their longevity and contribution to the movie and entertainment industry.  The awarding was given at the 8th Golden Screen Awards of the Entertainment Press Society, Inc. (ENPRESS) held on April 2, 2011 at the Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills, San Juan.

"It is the first time that Susan Roces played an anti-heroine character in "Babaeng Hampaslupa" and her acting is so awesomely compelling as the avenging Helena See that she threatens to eat alive most of her co-stars.

This week, she is accused of killing Freddie Webb and gets arrested by cops. We’re not surprised that former Sampaguita colleague Eddie Garcia is now added to the cast to be her perfect foil. More and more viewers are getting hooked so it’s not surprising that their commercial load is increasing. The story also gets more absorbing now that Alice Dixson as Anastacia gets to meet again her former husband, Jay Manalo as Charles, while Alex Gonzaga as Grace now gets to work for Karel Marquez who maltreats her."

TV-5's "BABAENG HAMPASLUPA", AIRING ON FEBRUARY 7, 2011

"Babaeng Hampaslupa" will start airing at Channel TV-5 on February 7, 2011, 9:00 pm from Monday to Friday.  This teleserye stars the Eternal Queen of Philippine Movies, Ms. Susan Roces, Alice Dixson and Alex Gonzaga, supported by Freddie Webb, Bing Loyzaga, Jay Manalo, Christian Vasquez, Susan Africa, Vandolph Quizon, Jenny Quizon, Karell Marquez, Alwyn Uytingco, Mart Escudero and a lot more, directed by Eric Quizon and Bb. Joyce Bernal.
